On-boarding and Deploying Your First Devices on the Helium Network - Part 1
Onboarding LoRaWAN® devices and sending data
In the first part of this module, we go through the basics of how to onboard a LoRaWAN® device to the Helium Network and how to get access to actionable data coming from the device using the TagoIO platform using a Dragino door open/closed sensor to monitor the status of a mail or delivery box.
In the second part of this module we will expand our IoT deployment to include a basic smart building monitoring suite, including water leaks, room motion/occupancy, temperature/humidity, and door status, using the following LoRaWAN sensors.
- Tektelic Vivid Passive Infrared (PIR) Smart Room Sensor
- Browan Water Leak Sensor
- Browan Temperature & Humidity Sensor
- Dragino door open/closed sensor
Requirements for completing this module:
- Verify the deployment location has Helium network coverage.
- Have one of each of the required sensors, including the respective EUIs and Keys. To monitor the mailbox and entry doors independently, you will need two of the Dragino door sensors.
