On-boarding and Deploying Your First Devices on the Helium Network - Part 1
Conclusion
We have demonstrated the process to deploy a mailbox sensor IoT solution using an off-the-shelf LoRaWAN device, the Helium network, and the TagoIO platform. Our mailbox sensor will work anywhere there is Helium network coverage and has an estimated battery life of over 3 years. The TagoIO platform enables collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data and supports the triggering of alerts from the mailbox sensor, all of which easily support a wide range of commercial deployments and use cases. Although a door sensor is one of the simplest IoT use cases, this Helium mailbox sensor example removes significant IoT solution deployment friction points in terms of software development effort, network access, and ease of commercial productization.
In the next part of this module, we will quickly add a common set of sensors used for Smart Building monitoring and build a single integrated dashboard in Tago.IO. Since Helium Console and TagoIO are already configured, the process will require fewer steps.
